Vision

We dream of a church where Jesus is the centre and reason of all we do [Col.1:17], a church where the Father’s abundant love is always on display [1 John 3:1], and a church where people encounter the powerful presence of God and miracles happen [Acts 2-3]. We dream of a church where young people discover their God-given destinies [Jer 29:11], where the generations bless one another, and where the oppressed of society experience dignity, hope, and empowerment [Is 61:1-4]. We dream of a church that serves the city and helps it flourish [Jer 29:5-7], where old divisions are rendered powerless in the love of God [Eph 2:18], and a church where “GRACE” will be the defining word of our lives, families, and ministry [Zech 4:7].

Values 2

FREEDOM | God’s heart for every person to experience freedom in the truest sense of the word. Freedom from sin, freedom from the wounds of life, freedom from dark spiritual forces, and freedom from idolatry. Only the Gospel of Jesus provides true freedom.

FAMILY | The most prevalent picture for the church in the New Testament is that of a family. God is a Father and He wants everyone to have a spiritual family where they belong and are unconditionally loved. Furthermore, we believe a natural family was God’s idea and that His wisdom needs to be recovered to help families grow in love for Him and one another.

FIRE | The Christian life can be both challenging and exciting, and it’s never meant to be lived just in our own strength. The Holy Spirit, described in the Bible as a fire, empowers every believer to follow God’s calling on their life.

FLOURISH | We want to see people, communities, and our city experience abundant life. This happens when people walk in their God-given callings and influence their surroundings for good. We value leaders and leadership and believe all Christians can have a positive influence on their world.

Beliefs

Here are a few beliefs that are especially important to us:

  • We believe that all who repent and believe in Jesus are justified by the grace of God, are born again of the Spirit of God, and thereby become children of God.

  • We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers and equips believers for service.

  • We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit are for all believers.

  • We believe that the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher are God-given ministries.

  • We believe the Lord Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead.

  • We believe that both men and women can be called, gifted, and anointed for church leadership.

  • We believe that both believers and unbelievers will be resurrected, then redeemed to eternal life with God but those who have rejected God's grace through Jesus Christ will be eternally separated from Him.

  • We believe that Jesus Christ appointed the two sacraments of baptism in water and the Lord's supper to be observed as acts of obedience and a perpetual witness of Christian faith.

  • We believe water baptism is by immersion and only for believers who have repented of sin and confessed Christ as Lord.

The Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,

maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

and born of the virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

who was crucified, died and was buried.

He descended into Hell.

and on the third day He rose again from the dead.

He ascended into Heaven

and sits at the right hand of the Father.

From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy catholic Church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting.

Amen
